Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Klipit ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. We may update these terms at any time; continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
2. Description of Service
Klipit is an AI-powered tool that processes audio and video content to identify and extract shareable clip moments. The Service includes a web application, a REST API, and related developer tools. Klipit is provided on an "as is" basis and may change or be discontinued at any time.
3. User Accounts
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may not share your account with others or use another person's account without permission. You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights you do not hold
- Process content that contains illegal material
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
- Use the API in ways that circumvent rate limits or access controls
- Resell access to the Service without written permission
5. Credits & Billing
The Service operates on a credit system. Credits are consumed when processing episodes. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually. Credits do not roll over between billing periods unless explicitly stated. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of purchase.
6. Intellectual Property
You retain all rights to your uploaded content. By uploading content, you grant Klipit a limited licence to process and store it solely to provide the Service. Klipit retains all rights to its software, models, and infrastructure. You may not use the Klipit name or logo without written permission.
7. Privacy
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Klipit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lagos State.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after notice constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
