Privacy Policy

We collect information you provide directly:
- Account information: name, email address, password (hashed)
- Uploaded content: audio and video files you submit for processing
- API keys and usage logs when using the developer API
- Payment information: processed by our payment provider; we do not store card details
We also collect usage data automatically: pages visited, features used, browser type, IP address, and timestamps.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the Service
- To process your uploaded content and return clip results
- To send transactional emails (verification, password reset, billing receipts)
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- To improve our AI models and clip quality (anonymised)
- To communicate product updates and changes
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Service providers (cloud hosting, email delivery, payment processing) under data processing agreements
- Law enforcement when required by applicable law
- Acquirers in the event of a merger or acquisition, with notice to you
4. Cookies
We use essential cookies to maintain your session and remember authentication state. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but this will prevent you from staying signed in.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Uploaded media files are deleted from our servers within 30 days of processing. Clip results and metadata are retained until you delete them or close your account. You may request deletion at any time.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. To exercise these rights, email privacy@tryklipit.com. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data: TLS in transit, encryption at rest, and access controls on all production systems. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after notice constitutes acceptance.
